What to do with your pool when it rains a lot?
We’re experiencing a rainy year and have already suffered several storms with heavy downpours. Moreover, the problem is worsening this season. You’ve probably noticed your pool suffering the consequences and are wondering what you should do to prevent potential damage in case of future downpours. Problems caused by rain Rain can cause many problems in outdoor swimming pools . We’ll tell you about the most common ones, which you’ve probably encountered before. Depending on the surrounding environment and soil type, water can carry debris into the pool. It’s common for mud to accumulate in the garden and be washed into the water, making it dirty. If this happens, we’ll need to do a thorough cleaning, and one of the components responsible for this task is the skimmers, which can also be damaged . If there’s heavy rainfall, the water level can rise above the skimmers, preventing them from collecting surface debris, where most of it accumulates. During heavy rains, the pH level in swimming pools often rises , causing an imbalance. Disinfection depends on adjusting specific levels, so the water would turn green due to insufficient disinfection. Finally, the chlorine concentration decreases because, with more water, the more chlorine dissipates and the more is required. Easy and effective solutions If debris from around your pool has fallen in, it will likely settle to the bottom due to its sandy nature. This solution will also help lower the water level, another common problem. Simply run the pool vacuum in drain mode . Voilà, two problems solved in one! Remember that if you have a technical room and it has flooded, you should not turn on any filtration system until it has been drained. However, if the water has reached the motor or the electrical panel, it is absolutely forbidden to turn it on, as you could damage it further. In this case, it would be advisable to call a technician to repair it. If the pH level has become unstable, you should readjust it. Remember that the appropriate levels are between 7.2 and 7.6. To lower it, which is most likely what you’ll need to do, there are products on the market called pH reducers . Simply add this product in the correct dosage so that it doesn’t affect the alkalinity by adding too much. If you don’t have a pH meter, you can control the correct amount manually. Add the product slowly and in small doses, checking the level (both pH and alkalinity, which should be between 80 and 120 ppm) after each small dose. Your pool is almost back in perfect condition; you just need to check the chlorine concentration . As we mentioned, it’s very likely that it has decreased. You should check it after you’ve returned the water level to the pool , and then add more chlorine if necessary. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask our expert store staff who will advise you on the appropriate products and tools, as well as the most effective techniques and tips. Winter: 2 steps to keep your pool in perfect condition.
During the summer months, we all get our pools ready, the water sparkling clean and the cleaning systems in perfect working order. Since we don’t have to use them until next year, it’s common to neglect their maintenance during the winter and pay the price at the start of the following swimming season. Green water, organisms, dirt in the pool basin, and broken accessories—that’s what we find if we don’t take precautions during the colder months. It’s important to perform hibernation maintenance. We’ve made it easy for you: in just 2 steps. Pool component care The pump, the filter, the skimmers… These are essential components for treating pool water. We often forget about them, as they are not usually visible. Low temperatures can cause them to break, especially if water remains and freezes. To prevent this, we must remove any water from the mechanisms. Special chemicals for winter We must maintain a chemical balance in the water even in winter, otherwise microorganisms, fungi and algae will appear, which will run rampant and be more difficult to remove when bathing season arrives. There are specific chemical products for the colder seasons that make the task easier. We can use these treatments for preparation or maintenance. The first step is to use the hibernation products for preparing water In anticipation of the colder months, start by ensuring the water’s pH is between 7.2 and 7.6. Once the pH level is correct, add 1.5 kg of shock chlorine for every 50 cubic meters of water, run the water treatment system for a day , and then add 2 liters of winterizing solution for every 50 cubic meters of water. For maintenance throughout the winter season, simply add 2 liters of winterizing solution per 50 cubic meters of water once every 2 or 3 months. And that’s it! Of course, we always recommend installing a pool cover . There are different types available, and they’re very convenient, keeping your pool water clean. Don’t hesitate to ask us about this or anything else you may have about your pool.
How to prevent mold growth and wear and tear on the cover of heated swimming pools?
Heated swimming pools require special maintenance compared to outdoor pools because they produce vapors that can affect the surrounding environment and, consequently, nearby materials . The environmental conditions they create also commonly promote mold growth. The first thing we must do when we have a heated swimming pool is to control the humidity it generates, as it can also be harmful to our health. This is achieved by installing dehumidifiers and a good ventilation system . Installing windows in the walls will make it easier to maintain healthy air quality, but we know that for many of you this isn’t possible. In that case , a dehumidifier will be essential. There are different types to suit various needs, ranging from integrated or console systems to ducted units. Once the installation is completed, we will be able to control the thermohygrometric conditions and therefore provide comfort to the bathers, prevent condensation of steam and limit the evaporation of the pool water. Now you know the importance of avoiding high humidity levels to maintain the environment, space and well-being of bathers in your heated pool.

Effective disinfection of your pool water: learn about the benefits of isocyanuric acid.
The water in swimming pools attracts our attention with its transparency and inviting sparkle; it seems like magic, doesn’t it? In a way it is, but it’s not always easy. Maintaining pool water is a concern for those fortunate enough to have a pool at home. It’s not always easy, as there are many products that must be combined and administered correctly and precisely to achieve the desired effect. One of the best-known chemicals for water treatment is chlorine, but it needs other, perhaps less well-known, partners to work properly and disinfect effectively. One such partner is isocyanuric acid, or CYA . What is it for? Isocyanuric acid, in the correct amount, has the power to stabilize chlorine levels and is used in outdoor or indoor (chlorinated, of course) swimming pools. Chlorine, a powerful disinfectant we all know, can be affected by UV rays , thus degrading its effectiveness . CYA acts as a shield and prevents the chlorine from breaking down, thanks to its ability to absorb sunlight. This product simplifies chemical treatment by stabilizing chlorine levels, making maintenance less time-consuming and effortless , as it can be done at longer intervals. For example, instead of adjusting the chemical daily, it only needs to be done once or twice a week. What levels should I maintain? The ideal level of cyanuric acid is around 30-50 ppm ; other levels can be counterproductive or dangerous. At the same time, a free chlorine concentration of 1.5-2 ppm must be maintained continuously. This prevents the disinfecting power of the chlorine from diminishing. For its effectiveness, we must also take into account the pH, which must be kept between 7 and 7.6. Why is its control important? Although not as well-known as chlorine, CYA is essential for professionals in the sector who recommend it to individuals. This has led to its widespread use, which must be monitored, because although it is very effective, if used incorrectly it can pose a health risk . Furthermore, its popularity has led to the emergence of potentially dangerous counterfeit products. There is a direct relationship between increased levels of cyanuric acid and the time it takes to eliminate bacteria present in pool water. Therefore, if levels exceed recommended limits, the disinfection effect of chlorine can be reduced , posing a health risk to swimmers who may be affected by these bacteria. For example, Cryptosporidium parvum, a microorganism that affects the intestinal health of humans, is found in polluted water that lacks proper maintenance. Furthermore, it is resistant to some chlorine concentrations, so we must control, stabilize, and supplement it with the correct level of chlorine-based ammonia (CYA). So, you should be careful when using chemicals to maintain your pool water, and as you know, at Reindesa we’re here to answer any questions you may have. Visit us at your nearest store or contact us.
Get your pool ready for the season
Winter is long, but summer is finally here: warmth, al fresco dining, ice cream, the occasional mosquito, and swimming pools! If you’re one of the lucky ones with a pool at home, it’s time to get it ready so you can enjoy it to the fullest. During the autumn and winter months, it’s common to neglect pool water or drain it only to refill it when warmer weather arrives. At Reindesa, we offer winterizing tips to keep your pool water ready until the heat returns, but if you’ve been caught off guard this year, don’t worry, we’ll explain how to get your pool ready in no time. Your water is probably green, full of microorganisms , and looks unappealing: this is due to a lack of disinfection. This problem creates dirt not only in the water but also in the pool basin. Therefore, we need to disinfect and clean it. The easy, though expensive, option would be to drain the pool and thoroughly clean the basin before refilling it. However, we advise you to keep the water, as this is beneficial for the environment and represents significant cost savings. If you decided to store the water until summer, we’ll explain how to make it appealing again: – pH: To make water suitable for bathing, the first thing we must do is adjust the pH. This is important for maintaining healthy skin and eyes, and for keeping the water clean and clear. Remember that the pH level should be between 7.2 and 7.6 . If the values are higher, you will likely experience skin irritation, the effectiveness of other disinfectants will be reduced, and the water will become cloudy, generating solid residue. Conversely, if the pH is lower than 7.2, your pool will suffer corrosion and significant deterioration. – Disinfection: To eliminate the microorganisms that have been freely infecting our pool water during the winter season, the most common method is to use chemicals or chlorine. Other disinfection systems exist, such as ultraviolet light or ozone , but this is the most common. The free chlorine residual should be maintained between 0.5 and 1.0 ppm for optimal disinfection. Maintaining these levels will prevent the growth of algae and microorganisms. The algae problem will likely be significant after winter, so we advise applying a dichlorine shock treatment, CHLOR CHOCK REIN To recover the water after the infestation. Once the product has been applied, we recommend filtering the water for 24-48 hours. – Algae control: To ensure algae problems are kept under control, regularly apply ALGI-REIN algaecide as part of your pool’s maintenance routine. The more heat and sunlight your pool receives, the greater the risk of algae growth and, consequently, the greater the potential for bacterial proliferation. At REINDESA, we offer a wide range of algaecides specifically formulated for all types of algae (green, black, etc.). – Flocculant: Cloudy water contains tiny particles that a filter cannot remove. To capture them, we must increase their size. This is the job of flocculants: to bring the tiny particles together into larger clumps that can be filtered. At REINDESA , we offer different types and formats of flocculant. In our stores, we will advise you on the right one for your needs. Get yourself some flocculant and then be prepared to filter out the dirt or clean it manually. Check the condition of the filter: we must check if it is necessary to change the filter load before carrying out the reconditioning because if the filter does not work as it should, the effect of the chemical treatment previously applied will not be effective. Once its condition has been checked, we must clean the filter and disinfect the sand . Limescale buildup in the filtration system can damage it, so we must also remove it periodically. And by following the steps of this process, the water will shine again, even though it may seem impossible. Since we know you might not have the time or inclination to go through this whole process and that you’re eager to get back to enjoying your pool, we offer you the option of Leave it to us. We’ll get your water back in order in just 4 visits. We recovered the water so that all you have to do is relax and enjoy your ready pool as soon as possible. Find out more by calling us on 902 906 775 or writing to us at reindesa@reindesa.com and we will give you personalized advice for your case.

How to protect your swimming pool from tree leaves in autumn?
Autumn is here, and with it comes the falling leaves. This is a common problem for those who have their pool in a garden with deciduous vegetation. If you want to avoid raking them up so often, keep reading because we have the simplest solution for protecting your pool from leaves. Installing a pool cover is the best way to solve this problem while also addressing other issues. Besides preventing leaves from falling into your pool, it will also prevent the accumulation of environmental debris, allowing you to extend the life of your pool water with proper maintenance. Furthermore, it will improve safety; if you have small children or pets at home, they can be around the pool without the risk of accidents. There is a wide variety of roofing materials available on the market, with different systems, materials, designs, and extras. The most common types of roofing are: Solar cover: These types of covers float on the surface and help to extend the bathing season as they heat the water by harnessing the energy of the sun. Winter cover: These are heavier, made of a rigid material, and therefore protect against many other elements besides leaves. They prevent all kinds of dirt from the environment, offer thermal protection to prevent algae growth, and help avoid accidents… Automatic cover : There are fully automatic roll-up covers, they are the easiest to install and the most elegant to look at. You can take a look at the covers we have at Reindesa in the “Coverings” section of our online store . Remember, if you install a cover and follow a few simple maintenance steps, you can enjoy your pool water in the summer while protecting it during the colder months. Do you have any questions? For more information , contact us in person at any of our stores or by calling 902 906 775.
How high temperatures affect swimming pools
In recent summers, Spain has experienced extremely high temperatures. This directly impacts the swimming pool sector, as pools are, of course, one of the most popular ways to beat the heat. Despite being a great solution, swimming pools are not exempt from being affected by high temperatures. The first element that suffers the effects of heat is the disinfectant we use in our facility, since it is volatile at high temperatures and after hours of exposure ends up losing its ability to disinfect. For this reason, during the warmer months, our pool will require more maintenance. If we don’t increase our water care during the heat, it will turn green or cloudy more easily. Whatever cleaning process we usually use for our pool, it should be carried out more frequently than during the rest of the year. Another aspect that will affect pool owners is their household energy consumption. With extreme temperatures, we will be forced to extend the filtration schedule, which will increase the pump’s energy consumption and the overall electricity usage of the pool compared to the rest of the year. Finally, in addition to electricity consumption, we will also see an increase in water consumption. The high heat causes partial evaporation of the water, so we will often have to refill the tank, using more water than we would like. Having a pool to escape the high temperatures is a privilege, but we must be aware that every privilege requires care, and in this situation, we have to go a step further to be able to have a slightly more pleasant summer. In summary, how will the heat affect our pool? Water consumption will increase (because more water evaporates). The disinfectant will lose its effect more quickly. Domestic electricity consumption will increase.
How to keep your pool in optimal condition for this summer: water change and cleaning of the installation.
May has arrived, which means we’re in the lead-up to summer. If your pool isn’t ready yet, take note! At Reindesa, we want you to make the most of it these next few months and have as little work as possible during the summer. During the winter we often neglect our swimming pool, Therefore, if it has not received any maintenance during this period, we may have no choice but to empty the pool. If that’s the case, we should keep in mind some tips for doing it now: Without hesitation, drain your pool . You can use a water pump for this. It’s the best way to clean the bottom and walls after so many weeks. Use a descaling product like DESINCRUSREIN and brush all the walls and the floor, paying special attention to corners and steps, as these tend to accumulate the most dirt. If you notice any damage, breaks, or cracks during cleaning, make the necessary repairs. For any issues, don’t hesitate to contact Reindesa. Remember that ignoring it now could lead to bigger problems in the future. Make sure all components of the pool’s filtration system are thoroughly cleaned. This includes filters, nozzles, skimmers… My pool is clean now, can I fill it? Once the checks have been carried out, the pool is ready to be filled again. The most important thing is to constantly monitor the water’s pH level. Remember that the pH should be kept between 7.2 and 7.6 to protect the pool and prevent potential irritations for swimmers. Finally, once our pool is filled, it is important to apply a disinfectant to prevent the proliferation of bacteria, as well as other products that prevent the appearance of algae or other substances. Let’s get in the water! Your pool is now in optimal condition for swimming this summer. Are you having trouble following these steps? We’d be happy to help you with anything you need. Cleaning and disinfection of swimming pools using ultraviolet light
As we saw earlier, there are several automated processes for cleaning our pool water. After seeing how the ozone process works, today we’ll introduce you to ultraviolet light treatment. This system is based on the use of lamps that, at a specific power level, penetrate the cell walls of microorganisms and destroy their DNA, thus eliminating viruses, fungi, and other types of microbes. It achieves this without the widespread use of chlorine or other chemical elements, thereby avoiding the negative consequences of their use. Therefore, the main advantage of using ultraviolet light is that it minimizes the amount of disinfectant that needs to be added to the pool, since the system has already performed a large part of the water disinfection. Even so, it is necessary to maintain a small amount of disinfectant dissolved in the water. Ultraviolet light destroys chloramines, unpleasant-smelling byproducts of chlorine treatment. It is also a very effective disinfectant in itself, which allows pool management companies to drastically reduce chlorine use (usually reduced to a minimum of 0.5 ppm). On the other hand, the disadvantage of this process, as with other automated processes, is its lifespan. In this case, it’s due to the dirt that tends to accumulate on the lamps, which reduces the penetration capacity of the rays, thus shortening the system’s lifespan. Reindesa recommends equipment with automatic cleaning; these machines clean themselves at programmed intervals, ensuring maximum effectiveness at all times. In conclusion, the result of using ultraviolet light is excellent water quality, without bad odors or eye irritation problems, with lower chemical consumption and substantial savings in replacement water. Reindesa’s latest ultraviolet light disinfection installation is here .
Cleaning and disinfection of swimming pools using Ozone.
As we explained in our website section on pool water disinfection and cleaning , there are different options for treating and disinfecting your pool water. Much has been written about the most well-known methods (chlorine and bromine), so we’re starting a series of posts to explain the lesser-known ones. Today we’re talking about pool cleaning and disinfection using ozone. Ozone can be a substitute for chlorine and bromine , as it is a natural flocculant as well as a powerful algaecide, meaning it does not contain chemicals. After disinfection, ozone converts to oxygen and therefore leaves no trace in the water. However, the water always needs a small amount of disinfectant, so since ozone has no residual effect, it must be used in conjunction with another chemical compound, such as chlorine. However, the amount of chlorine used will be only 5% of what would be used in a treatment without ozone. The main benefit of disinfecting water with ozone is the near-total elimination of pool odor, red eyes, and skin and hair irritation, among other consequences associated with using products like chlorine. Furthermore, ozone not only aids in water disinfection but also acts as a coagulant, meaning it enhances the effectiveness of sand and activated carbon filters. Finally, this process contributes to water conservation since no additional water is needed for filter renewal. Conversely, the disadvantage is that it is more expensive and more difficult to install. Furthermore, the process requires more space because the necessary machinery is larger than that used in other systems. In summary, ozone is superior to components such as chlorine or bromine in terms of disinfecting capacity, low toxicity and water quality, but it is surpassed by these in terms of residence time. If your priority is to enjoy a healthy and comfortable bath, the best option is to use ozone, without forgetting the environmental benefit it brings. Types of tennis courts. What should yours be like?
In today’s post, we want to talk about all the features you should consider before building your tennis court. We’ll explain the different types of courts available, their advantages, and the results they offer. Before we begin, the basic characteristics: dimensions Everyone knows that the total dimensions of a tennis court, depending on the type of competition, range from approximately 38×18 for national competitions to 40.23×20.11 for international competitions and the Davis Cup. The box, 23.77 x 8.23 for singles and 23.77 x 10.97 for doubles, remains unchanged depending on the type of competition. The dividing net must be at a height of 0.914 m at the center and 1.07 m at the posts that support it. Tennis court surfaces Once we know this, we need to consider what type of court best suits our needs. There are several types of surfaces for playing tennis, and these are the most common ones: – Rapid / Tennisfast ® (Porous Concrete) – TennisFast Free® (Seamless Porous Asphalt) – Synthetic resin – Reingreen ® (Fluffy fiber) – Artificial turf or grass – Clay (brick dust, clay or green clay) Each surface differs in material composition or in the way the ball bounces. Here we distinguish between slow courts and fast courts: Slow courts are those where the ball bounces higher and slower. Points played on slow courts are usually longer. Fast lanes are those where the opposite happens: lower and faster bounces and, consequently, shorter points. We’ll now analyze each type of surface, highlighting its pros and cons. Which clue contains the characteristics you’re looking for? TENNISFAST ® It is Reindesa’s registered trademark, equivalent to the well-known Tennisquick®. They are known as porous cement surfaces and are the most common in modern tennis. They have a lower cost and require less maintenance than clay or dirt courts. They are less affected by the weather. TENNISFAST FREE® (SEAMLESS POROUS ASPHALT) It is a continuous surface Without expansion joints, applied hot with special machinery. Finished in a color of your choice. It has a large drainage capacity. It is versatile in its use. It provides a reliable ball bounce Semi-hard track Great grip Suitable for restoring aged runways and for heavy use (communities, educational centers, etc.) SYNTHETIC They can offer maximum comfort and gaming quality depending on the layers and the support where they are installed. Depending on the finish, it can offer a regular or cushion bottle. If installed on concrete supports, they are a very good solution for restoring any type of surface. The maintenance and restoration of the resin is very easy to apply and is economical. REINGREEN ® (FOAM FIBER) Considered the new generation artificial turf with the advantages of clay: high and slow bounce, controlled displacement, membrane that acts as a biomechanical protector of the joints. Suitable for very extreme climate zones It requires little maintenance and is suitable for the restoration of deteriorated runways. ARTIFICIAL TURF OR GRASS Natural grass is the original surface for tennis. Fast surface, irregular bounce, relatively little used. Building tennis courts and maintaining this type of surface is costly and complex. Surface with long durability Low maintenance cost CLAY – PITCHED EARTH It is the first popular alternative to grass surfaces. They require considerable maintenance. They must be watered, and at the intersections, they must be swept to smooth out marks and irregularities. It provides a slow bounce and the ability to skate on the ground for a defensive game, where the point lasts longer. There’s a surface suited to every climate and playing style. That’s why, if you have any questions or are curious, we’re here to advise you and help you choose the one that’s right for you. Don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll help you find your ideal track type.
Pool treatments: manual systems for disinfecting the pool
The various methods for disinfecting swimming pools have evolved over time, but although the results have improved, the basic principle remains the same. Today we’ll explain the most common manual systems for disinfecting swimming pools. On one hand we have chemical chlorine: Chlorine is a chemical agent that works by oxidation, converting complex organic waste such as skin, hair, algae, and various organic dirt into simpler compounds that can evaporate as a gas . This is the most widely used, easy, effective, and inexpensive method. Chlorine tablets (CLORO REIN TAB) are the most common option for maintaining private swimming pools . This method of maintenance has improved significantly in recent years, as current tablets, in addition to chlorinating gradually, contain other products that aid in pool maintenance, such as bactericides, algaecides, crystallizers, fungicides, flocculants, etc. They can be used in liquid or solid form, and the latter can be in tablet or powder form depending on the required speed of action. We can also use Sodium Hypochlorite manually: It is commonly used in liquid form. Its formula is NaClO. Sodium hypochlorite solution is frequently used as a disinfectant and bleaching agent. It is obtained from sodium chloride through an electrochemical process. It can be dispensed using a dosing pump. Its use alters the pH of the water, so monitoring is necessary. It has a powerful disinfectant effect on swimming pools , being lethal to various microorganisms, viruses, and vegetative bacteria. Its residual effect enhances its disinfecting power. Its main drawbacks are its cost and handling, as it is highly corrosive and requires a ventilated tank system and dosing pumps. Finally, we can talk about Bromine: It acts similarly to chlorine as a disinfectant, but is more active at a high pH: The advantages? It doesn’t cause unpleasant odors or irritate the skin, eyes, mucous membranes, hair, or clothing . It’s also more effective at eliminating algae. It’s sold in tablet form and can also be used with automatic dispensers. The drawback is that, unlike chlorine, bromine is a more expensive product, but it offers the advantage of not producing unpleasant odors when combined with other chemicals to create bromamines, unlike the distinctive smell of chloramines. What you need to know to disinfect your pool water
Maintaining optimal water quality in your swimming pool is essential to prevent health problems . It seems obvious, but we often assume that water that appears clean is safe for swimming, which may not be the case. Let’s explain how to properly disinfect your pool water : When we swim, we leave behind organic matter (sweat, mucus, genitourinary tract, etc.) and inorganic matter (creams, sunscreens, air pollution, etc.). This makes pool water an ideal breeding ground for all kinds of algae and fungi . Although the water is clear and transparent, it contains all these microorganisms, making disinfection necessary. A wide variety of disinfection systems are available on the market, both manual (Reindesa offers a broad range of water disinfection products ) and automatic (equipment that assists with dosing and disinfection). However, they all essentially work in the same way, or serve the same purpose. A portion of the disinfectant used is consumed in destroying contaminants . The remainder stays as a residual, ready to act against any new contaminants introduced by wind, bathers, etc. This residual disinfectant is called free residual. To ensure proper disinfection of pool water, a free residual disinfectant level between 1 and 2 ppm (parts per million) must be maintained . The consumption of pool disinfectants varies with temperature, sunlight exposure, the number of bathers, and pollution. For this reason, it is essential to analyze the disinfectant level daily using a system that provides these values. With this information, you now understand the importance of disinfecting your pool water. Don’t miss our upcoming posts where we’ll discuss various disinfection treatments and much more. If you need further assistance and would like to learn more, please contact us and we’ll provide personalized guidance.
Have you gotten your pool ready for summer yet?
Some time ago we mentioned that spring is the best time to prepare your pool. And it’s true. But if you haven’t gotten it ready yet, it’s time to do so: summer is here! So, before it gets too late, here are some tips to keep it in perfect condition and enjoy it every day of this new swimming season. Before we begin, please check that there are no major defects. As you know, if needed, we can come and inspect and prepare your pool for you. Simply contact your nearest Reindesa store and we’ll be happy to assist you. If you cover your pool during the winter, the first thing you should do (although yes, you should have already done it) is to carefully remove the cover to keep it in good condition and ready for later use. Therefore, it’s important to clean it thoroughly and let it dry in the sun . The inspection. We’re going to check the condition of various elements : the drains, the underwater lighting, the skimmers, and the return nozzles. Once everything is ready and we’re sure it’s working correctly, we’ll move on to the next step. Cleaning. Let’s get started! To begin, we can use products like DESINCRUSREIN to remove any scale buildup that may have accumulated over the winter. Next, we’ll thoroughly clean the pool with a pool cleaner , either automatic or manual. You might also need to use an algaecide to remove any algae that may have formed and settled at the bottom of the pool. Water. The pool may have been covered with a tarp, but we still need to clean and inspect it. This will require various chemicals and a thorough check of the water levels . Remember: The pH should be kept between 7.2 and 7.6 to protect the pool installation and avoid possible irritations for bathers. If it is higher than 7.6, the disinfectant loses effectiveness. If it is less than 7.2, the water may irritate the eyes and skin of bathers. Last look. We check that the ladders are properly secured, and that the trampolines or any other element is securely fastened. Enjoy! After getting your pool perfectly ready, you just need to maintain it with chlorine, algaecide, pH stabilizers, a leaf skimmer, a good pool cleaner, water testers… You know, the usual stuff, to keep your pool as beautiful as ever. We’ve already told you how to do it; now it’s time to put it into practice. But if you have any questions, please contact us by phone or by visiting any of our Reindesa stores, and we’ll answer them.
